Along the way, they will be introduced to a brief history of animation, replicate a Victorian toy that was one of the earliest attempts at animation, develop their character’s story and lay it out as a storyboard, develop character model sheets and a unique color palette, paint a cel and background honoring the Golden Age of animation, and finally animate their character using traditional animation techniques. On the last day, animators will curate a gallery exhibit of their work for their families! After touring the gallery, we’ll sit back and enjoy their short films.

- Please note: Animators are expected to come to camp with an original character they want to further develop during the week. This includes a simple drawing and basic story idea.
