Painting Simplified Outdoor Scenes with Chuck Law
Location: Hammonton Park Lake (Kramer Hall in case of inclement weather)
Fee: $50 museum members, $60 non-members
Registration deadline: Saturday, June 1
Learn how to capture the moods and magic of a natural landscape. Award-winning artist Chuck Law will provide an oil painting demonstration and individual instruction as you explore the fundamentals of creating art en plein-air, or outdoors. Emphasis will be on the use of simplified composition, color and form to achieve a convincing and accurate representation of nature.
When I went outside to paint I knew I'd found where I wanted to be as an artist. The beauty of nature is ever inspiring to me; I grew up on the water and spent much of my time in the back bays and woods of South Jersey as well as living on the Chesapeake Bay in Virginia. - Chuck Law
