About “The Dark Forest”

This body of artwork explores the conflict between individual and social constructions of identity. With the pressure to be socially accepted, we attempt to uphold a certain image to validate ourselves and to hide our truth. We allow falsely the power, privilege, representation and hybridization of society to influence and determine the conceptions of our identity and who truly we are. We live in a dark forest of a complete constructed illusion.
