Ashlesha Parekh of Ash’s Henna Tattoos was introduced to art and henna (mehendi) in India at a very young age; her field of expertise is Indian mehendi style and Arabic mehendi style. Arabic henna consists mostly of floral designs on the palm of the hand. The designs are usually large, compared to the Indian mehndi. Arabic henna often encompasses thin designs consisting of paisley, floral and lace patterns. Indian henna will also depict motifs like peacocks and human figures.
