The Noyes Arts Garage is offering this free craft for boys and girls ages 5 to 100!
Originally a Native American craft, corn husk dolls are made out of the dried leaves or "husk" of a corn cob. Children in both Native American and colonial American families used husks to fashion dolls. They require dried corn husks, twine, and yarn to create figures. Boys and girls are welcome to create a corn husk person and experience what they would have played with more than 200 years ago!
The activity is for ages 5 to 100!
After the craft, tour the galleries and see our two new art exhibitions, the Noyes Artist Members and Homage & Oblivion: Syd Krochmalny. Shop in our artist studios and Noyes gift shop to find the perfect gift for the holidays!
