The History of Capoeira:

Capoeira is a Martial Art form that is hidden in dance that was conceived in Africa and Born in Brazil. Capoeira was developed in Brazil, derived from traditions brought across the Atlantic Ocean by enslaved Africans and fueled by the burning desire for freedom. Many slaves camouflaged the practicing of Capoeira as a form of dance by playing instruments and singing chant like songs on the plantations although it was outlawed by the Brazilian Government. Ultimately, the art form was utilized to break free of bondage.
