Jeff Quattrone, exhibiting artist in the 2023 NJAA Exhibition and founder of Library Seed Bank, hosts a panel discussion centered on conversation about seed justice. The heart of the discussion is based on access to culturally meaningful seeds, whether that is from endangered crops or plants from war-torn lands. This includes environmental stressors impacting access to fresh and local agriculture. Panelists include Ty Collins from Middleton Place and Coastal Cousins Heritage Gardens; Sonya Harris from Ujaama Seeds and the Bullock Garden Project; and Damon Smith, founder of GlovesontheGround, ‘Our Garden’, and the ‘Conflict Garden’ within Reed’s Organic Farm in EHT. Greg Frelon of Coastal Cousins Heritage Gardens will be filming the panel for his documentary.
