Learn the fundamentals of photo encaustics with this afternoon workshop taught by artist Leah Macdonald. Each participant will work with encaustic wax to create a single, mixed-media work of art in this introductory workshop. Unique approaches to image development are encouraged as participants layer and manipulate colored wax over their photographs.
Working on top of a photograph adhered to a panel, participants will create depth and visual interest by painting with hot wax in layers.
All supplies are included in the cost of registration. Participants are required to email a black and white photograph to the instructor prior to the workshop.
