Noyes Summer Art Camps 2023


For over 15 years, our annual art camp has brought children on an exciting and engaging discovery of artistic expression.

Camp Schedule

Week 1: ages 5 to 7 : July 5 - 7, Wednesday - Friday, 9 am - 12 pm

Week 2: ages 8 to 13: July 10 - 14, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12 pm

Week 3: ages 8 to 13: July 17 - 21, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12 pm

Week 4: ages 8 to 13: July 24 - 28, Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12 pm

CAMP LOCATION: Noyes Art Camps take place in the Stockton University Art Gallery at Stockton University, 101 Vera King Farris Drive, Galloway, NJ 08205

Camps include all art supplies and 1 Noyes t-shirt per camper!

Our camp for ages 5 - 7 are designed for creative play, exploring colors, and building fine motor skills!

Week 1 - Artsy Insects Camp • July 5 - 7 • Ages 5 - 7 • 3-day camp - $160

They’re creepy, they’re crawly, and they live among us! Come learn about bugs, butterflies, beetles and bees! Discover the joys of making art through the exploration of entomology, the study of insects. Campers will learn about different bug varieties and how to identify them in your own backyard. Children will utilize their unlimited creative potential through discovery-based learning. Drawing inspiration from a sorts of bugs, children will explore art through paint, pastels, paper, and so much more. Be prepared to get messy and have tons of fun.

For youth ages 8 - 13, weeks 2, 3, and 4 are specialized for the young creative!

Week 2 - Rare Animals Camp (Part 2!) • July 10 - 14 • Ages 8 - 13 • 5-day camp - $205

Go Wild for Wildlife! During the Rare Animals Art Camp (part 2!), we’ll learn about several rare animal species from around the world with a focus on some very close to home! We’ll also learn a bit about art theory , the art of painter Henri Rousseau, and conservation. Projects include a Great White Shark book collage, a Polar Bear print, an Australian Bark painting, a Giant Panda Ink and Brush painting, a pastel Toucan portrait, and a Cooperative Mural featuring the NJ Pinelands, and maybe more! On Friday, campers will curate an exhibit of their work to share with their families. Participation in last year’s Rare Animals Art Camp part 1 is not required!

Week 3 - “Let’s Sea Art Now” Camp • July 17 - 21 • Ages 8 - 13 • 5-day camp - $205

Campers will enjoy creating two dimensional and three dimensional sea creatures while exploring basic art media and techniques, such as drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture and more! Learning about sea life and protecting our ocean will also play an integral part of the class. Projects include jellyfish watercolor crayon resists, black glue and watercolor ocean life masterpieces, paper fish mosaics, sea turtle acrylic painting, and more.

Week 4 - “Art, Culture, & Travel” Camp • July 24 - 28 • Ages 8 - 13 • 5-day camp - $205

Campers will be traveling around the globe through the world of art and the many different cultures that create it! They will learn how each culture interacts with art in a unique way from painting like an Aboriginal to using artistic expression to design Greek pottery. As we walk through different cultures, we will be walking through a variety of different materials specific to that culture. By stepping into the shoes of another artist, we are able to truly understand their art culture.
