Young gardeners are invited to join the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University and Rutgers Cooperative Extension for a hands-on gardening activity. Merging creative hands-on activities and horticulture, children ages 8-13 will be able to select vegetables from the garden to turn into tasty snacks.
This is a family program geared towards children and a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian must be with their child during the entire program.
About the series:
Each month, Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Atlantic County offers a Sunday gardening program at the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University. Join us on Sunday afternoons for educational or creative programming tailored to home or community gardeners. All levels of gardening experience are welcome to join. The Rutgers Master Gardeners are available for related garden questions during each program.
Subsidized parking in the WAVE Garage is $4 cash. Free parking for Stockton University students, staff, and faculty.
About the Ducktown Community Garden:
The Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University transformed an underutilized plot outside of their building in the spring of 2021 into the Ducktown Community Garden. Since then, Noyes staff, interns, and volunteers have maintained the garden to produce free vegetables, herbs, and flowers for the neighborhood from May through November. They also host educational and art programming in the garden.
