On Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm, Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., in conjunction with the African American Heritage Museum of Southern New Jersey, will present An Afternoon of Jazz in celebration of Jazz Appreciation Month. The event will feature a lecture by retired educator and musician, Joseph Brown, followed by live music and light refreshments. The event is free and open to the public.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, founded January 13, 1913, on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC, is an organization of college educated women committed to the constructive development of its members and to public service with a primary focus on the Black community. The Atlantic City Alumnae Chapter was chartered July 28, 1979 and serves Atlantic and Cape May County communities.
