Pillars of Fire: Legends of New Jersey SHEroes and Legacy Letters with Michelle Washington Wilson

  • Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University 2200 Fairmount Avenue Atlantic City, NJ, 08401 United States (map)

“Pillars of Fire: Legends of New Jersey SHEroes,” is a 55-minute to one-hour storytelling presentation by Michelle Washington Wilson, one of New Jersey’s favorite storytellers. A pillar of fire is a symbol of those who light the way for our journey, and this event will celebrate women throughout New Jersey’s history who have done just that. From Revolutionary War hero Molly Pitcher to female migrant workers, authors like Nikki Giovanni, and aviation pioneer Anne Morrow Lindbergh, Michelle will bring to life the stories of these courageous women who made a lasting impact on our state and beyond.

Following the presentation, we plan to host an interactive session where attendees can write legacy letters dedicated to the women who have inspired them personally. This event is suitable for audiences from middle school through adult and aims to educate, inspire, and empower.

This program is organized by Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen's Museum.
