About “Helios”
As part of Apple Artificial Life art project I present the Helios video. Helios is the Greek name of the Sun God. The video is the outcome of a research about the Sun, about it essence and it future. Is a combination of myth, history and technological view of the future. In this project I collaborated with the sound art artist Ricardo Dal Farra who gave me the audio and with the photo astronomer Cesar Cantu who gave me a beautiful photos collection of the Sun surface for skinning the 3D virtual sculpture models. The Sun is a basic force energy for the life, this video is a meaning about the technological evolution that will be change do not only the biological life, ever the Earth and the Sun. Helios present a robotic Sun, a mix between old, spiritual, roots values and a futuristic view of the techno vanguard.
