Michelle Post, an accomplished artist with 40 years of experience in printmaking, leads this workshop. Reduction linocut is a form of relief printmaking that uses one linoleum block to print in multiple colors, one after the other, by successively cutting away pieces of the block after printing each color, resulting in vibrant, multi-colored prints.
All materials are provided and you will get to take home all of the prints that you make. You will provide the subject matter, whether an original sketch or photo, which will be transferred to the linoleum block via carbon paper.
Blocks are 6”x6”, so plan your design accordingly. Simplicity makes for a better design.
